Hi over there, here I am in the country of the USA, texas, Bedford with my sister. She had her 70 birthday yesterday. One of her daughters, Elisabeth is a big fan of a guy called Joseph Vincelli. He is an well known saxplayer and he was hired to entertain the crowd at the party she hold for her mother. He stood there playing and it sounded great. After a while, someone told him that I played some guitar, he asked me if we, the two of us could do something together, ooops! Anyway, this is a kind of oppurtunity you just dont miss, so I said yes of course. We did 3 songs together, songs that I chose, and it went (great), anyway it was a lot of fun. He was hired for about 2 hours and after that I entertained the crowd with an acoustic guitar, and for the first time in my life I played Delilah, because of a request the day before, challenging I would say, but neverless, much fun.
I shure do hope that my friends back home miss me at the rehearsal, because I do miss them, and my own guitars and so on. My planning while I stay here was to visit as many bluesbars as possible, havent seen one yet, and I will not until tuesday when I am heading for Austin to take a stroll on 6 th street, just to get the right feeling. Its not that easy to gather strength enough to spend too much time in bars at my age, sorry to admit that, but thats how it is folks. But I have been to the guitarcenter, its the holy grale when it comes to musicgears, breathtaking at least I must say. I also have played some golf and had some workout done, feels good right into my bluessoul.
Well friends, Ill be back on the 26 so see you then.
